17-year-old Cody moves in with his estranged father in the Pacific Northwest. A stark difference from the desert he came from. But, he’s not as interested in rekindling a relationship as he is in running from a traumatic past.

Mark has never been much of a father and isn’t sure he knows how to start being one now. But over the course of the next few months, amongst the mountains, some horses, and a run-in with an angry bear, both father and son try to figure out how to mend their relationship and rewrite the lies they’ve believed about each other, as well as themselves.
